Racing: Predatory Pricer plans deferred

SYDNEY: Plans to have the injured Predatory Pricer ready for the autumn have been shelved, with a winter return now the best-case scenario for the entire.

Jonathan Lumsden from the Randwick Equine Centre examined Predatory Pricer during the week and told trainer Paul Murray it was best to defer a resumption by at least three months.

The beaten Caulfield Cup favourite pulled up with a tendon injury after the race last month.

Scans revealed a stretched suspensory ligament in his off-side foreleg.

Murray was hoping to aim the four-year-old at races like the Doncaster in the autumn but now has his sights on the Brisbane winter carnival.
