Jockular did a rousing 1200m in 1:18.3, the 600 in 37.8. Yuan Diamond ran the quickest 1000, taking 1:1.5, the 600 in 37.1.
Sursum Corda looked good going 800m with Exclusive Quarry in 50.4, the 600 in 37.3. In-form maiden Fermina Daza went steadily over 1000m in 1:9, the 600 in 40.5.
Hometown Hero finished 1000m in 1:2.5, the 600 in a smart 36.4.
The River Express worked as well as any of the local candidates for Avondale, travelling well within herself after 1200m on the outside of an easy course proper in 1:17.3, the 600 in 38.1.
Don't Tell John ran on to finish 800m with Lenny Lights in 51.8, the 600 in 37.9. Prussian Blue was not asked for much over 800 in 53.5, the 600 in 39.2.
Star Touch worked stylishly for Dargaville next week, cutting out 800m on an easy No 1 grass in 48.4, the 600 in 35.7.
Zephuros rounded off her preparation for Avondale in good style at Matamata, taking 1:21.6 for the final 1200m of a comfortable round of a firm sand. She came from the 1000 in 1:6 and the 600 in 38.5.
Ocean Ranch went soundly over 1000m in 1:5.8, the 600 in 38.4. Call Minder also hit out well over 1000, taking 1:6.2, the 600 in 39.
Cypress Bay was hard held over a round, the last 1200m in 1:27.4 and 600 in 40.8. Rip It Up covered 1000 comfortably in 1:7.8 (39.5), as did Soap Opera in 1:10 (39.5).
Forfar was full of running at the end of an easy 1200m in 1:29.8, the 600 in 41.2. Catherine did similar work in 1:28 and 43.8.
Vino Veritas ran 1200m in 1:22, the 600 in 41. Risk And Reward took 1:29 for 1200 and 41 from the 600.
Celestial Heights strolled over 1000m in 1:10, the 600 in 42. Star Crusher sprinted 1000 on a firm all-weather track in 1:4.6, the 600 in 39.
At Pukekohe, Blue Dude again impressed with a sharp 600m on the outside of a firm course proper in 36.1. Miss Peggy Sue did similar work in a creditable 36.7.
Black On Black showed improvement over 1200m, the final 800 in 51.4 and 600 in 37.1. Irish Silk galloped 1200 solidly on a firm No 1 grass, the 800 in 50.4 and 600 in 37.9.
King Keitel furthered his preparation for the Counties Cup with 1200m on an easy course proper, 25m out, at Te Aroha. He returned 1:18.5 after covering his last 600 stylishly in 36.
Kimani, a form runner at Avondale, strolled over 800m in 56. Royal Orb dashed 800 in 49.5, the 600 in 36.1.
British Version and Gold Pearl were impressive at Cambridge, covering 1000m on a heavy grass in 1:6, the 600 in 41.
