Pineau confirmed her fitness for Thames tomorrow when she worked soundly at Matamata yesterday.
On a good plough, Pineau (Coleman) strode over 1200m in 1:22.6, the last 600m in 38. She appears to have trained on well and should get a deserved win on the weekend.
Stablemate Steel Tycoon (Coleman), who makes his debut at Thames, had no trouble cutting out 1200m in 1:25.8, the last 600m in 38.3. Calmbee (Hennessy) turned in a good trial for Tauranga next week when she ran 1000m in 1:01.2, the 600 in 36.4.
Shar Ari (Allpress) and The Trickster (Tanner) were also impressive over 1000m in 1:01 and 36.2. Lovemedo (T. Thornton) was not after time over 1200m in 1:28, the final 600m in 38.2. Tabeela (Carmine) and Get Even (Coleman) had speed on through the middle stages of their workout, clocking 1:02.8 for 1000m and 37.6 for the last 600.
Illicitly (Dowling) and Healing Kiss (Russell) wasted no time over 1200m in 1:15.8, the 600 in 36.2.
The Shoe (Carmine) and Lion Star (Pender) took 1:19.2 for 1200m and quickened for a final section in 36.6.
Royal Entertainer(Ritchie) was relaxed in his work over 1000m in 1:08.8, the 600 in 39.8. Made In NZ (Tan) and Linlin (Upston) cut out 1200m in 1:23.4, the last 600 in 36.8.
Virginie (Ritchie) was kept to 1200m in 1:26.4, the 600 in 41.2. Bankside Boy (Melton) ran his 1200m in 1:23.5, the last 600 in 37, while Classy Belle (Dowling) and a Mellifont gelding (Ramsay) clocked 1:19.5 and 36.8.
Adelariva (Carmine) worked over 1200m in 1:22.4 and 600m in 38.6. Over the same ground Licorice (Dent) and Fizz (T. Thornton) took 1:19.4 and 38.6, Small Talk (C. Ormsby) 1:25.2 and 39.5, Volkrose (C. Lammas) 1:21.8 and 38.6, Sharvasti (Ritchie) 1:24.6 and 39.8, and Allegory (Coleman) 1:22.2 and 37.2.
Princess Coup (T. Harris) looked bright when kept to three-quarter-pace, clocking 1:16.8 for 1000m and 44.2 for the final 600m.
Waitui Magic (Rastrick) had more speed on to run 1:08.8 and 40.5, and Cape Merlot (Pender) took 1:09.8 and 40.5.
Tudor Mistress (Tanner) and a Pupil filly (Gartner) showed their paces over 800m in 48.2 and the last 600m in 35.8. Deborah Rush (T. Thornton) and a Danasinga filly (Dent) took 51.4 and 38.2.

Working on a firm grass, about 30m out from the nearest markers, the Russell Cameron-trained maiden covered 1000m in 1:4.4, the final 600 in 39.3. On his efforts this week he must be rated a chance at useful odds.
Sarvon galloped 1000m on a good sand in 1:4.6, the last 600 in 38.7.
Little Jess sprinted 600m in 38.3 and stablemate He's My Brother was kept to 41.1 for his 600.
On a fast plough, Sherileon looked to be going slightly better than Stupendo in the finish of 1000m, the last 800 in 50 and 600 in 38.1.
Kingasinga finished 800m in 51.2, the closing 600 in 38.
Super Alloy looked well to resume racing when running 600m in 40.2.
