No one struck a full share of the dividend paid in the $1.2 million Pick6, TAB racing manager Michael Dore said last night.
The Pick6, which required punters to select the winners of the last six races at the Canterbury meeting at Riccarton on Saturday, swelled to a pool of more than $1.24 million.
There were 2.1 units that selected all six winners, which resulted in a dividend of $591,930.95 being posted.
Punters are able to take percentage bets which means, for example, they can take $100 worth of combinations for $10 and receive 10 per cent of any dividend.
Dore told NZPA that were were 15 winning tickets on the Pick6, with the biggest payout being $153,900 for a 26 per cent bet.
There were also three 22 per cent tickets, each worth $130,224, one 18 per cent ($106,547) and 10 tickets of 10 per cent ($59,193).
Dore said the 26 per cent ticket was sold in Lower Hutt while one of the 22 per cent winners had only spent $10.
There was a total of 2.01 million units sold on the Pick6 but 98.8 per cent had been knocked out after the running of the first leg. The first leg was won by the outsider of the 15-horse field, Quantam Classic, who paid $64.25 to win.
Favourites won four of the remaining five legs.
The second leg was won by $1.85 favourite, No Hero, which reduced the number of live units to 10,835 while 1462 units remained after the third leg, won by Coup Biscuit.
Don't Ya Lovett, a $3.85 favourite, won the fourth leg to leave 415 units. The fifth leg was taken out by $15.20 chance Texas, which left 16.7 units.
All but one of the 18 runners was covered in the last leg and no horse had more than 2.88 units on it.
