Striking white filly The Opera House will make her much anticipated debut on Boxing Day at Newcastle where she is sure to spark plenty of interest from the bumper crowd.
Local trainer Kris Lees has given the Zabeel filly four barrier trials and is pleased with her progress ahead of the 1400m Maiden. "She's all trained up and ready to go," Lees said.
"She's come through her trials in good order and her work has been sound. I think she'll be competitive and I'll be happy seeing her getting to the line well with a view to getting over further later."
Apart from being distinguished by her rare colour, The Opera House also has rare breeding as a three-quarter sister to champion Might And Power.
The Opera House was bought for $270,000 at the Magic Millions sale and is raced by flamboyant businessman John Singleton and a group of others including retired Newcastle Knights rugby league star Andrew Johns.
