There's a look of something familiar about Old Belvedere in tomorrow's $20,000 sprint at Otaki.
He's first-up from a lengthy spell and the last time that happened - at this time last year - he scored a handsome win.
Even with topweight, Old Belvedere looks well placed although there are some smart horses underneath him in the handicap.
Old Belvedere had five campaign starts after that first-up win and four of them were in stakes company, including the $100,000 Merial Mile at Awapuni, which he won.
Among the lightweights are Bohika and Validus.
Bohika capitulated surprisingly quickly last start after showing his customary pace. He's better than that and could show it tomorrow.
