Pukekohe pacer Gold Ace should start justifying his new $1.3 million price tag in Perth tonight.
Trainer Steven Reid and fellow owners turned down that much for the exceptional 4-year-old entire this week, the offer coming from caretaker trainer Gary Hall.
Gold Ace won his Perth debut last Friday under Hall's care.
He is a $1.20 fixed odds favourite for tonight's A$175,000 Golden Nugget at the same venue.
"He has drawn barrier one and he will just win again," said Hall.
