KEY POINTS:
Australian jockey Hugh Bowman landed the biggest success of his English stint when he partnered Hatta Fort to victory in a well-timed run in the Group Two Superlative Stakes at Newmarket.
The Cape Cross colt was last in the early stages but began to make headway as the tempo quickened approaching the final 400m.
Declaration Of War took over briefly inside the last 200m but Hatta Fort soon poked his nose ahead.
The winner, Bowman's first in 26 days, had a neck to spare over Declaration Of War with outsider Ellmau 1 3/4 lengths away third.
