Hawkes Bay Racing has issued an order of preference list for the group one $200,000 weight-for-age Mudgway Fair Tax Stakes (1400m) at Hastings on August 27.
The list shows the top 26 contenders but is subject to late entries which close on Tuesday and the discretionary right of Hawkes Bay Racing to select any runner.
The maximum number of runners is 16, although a field of 20 could be declared with four emergencies.
The list, broken into five categories, is:
* Consideration one (group one performers in alphabetical order): Balmuse, Clean Sweep, Maroofity, Miss Potential, The Jewel, Xcellent, Zvezda.
* Consideration two (weight-for-age and group two performers in alphabetical order): Irish Rover, Penitentiary, Rapid Kay, Silky Red Boxer.
* Consideration three (three-year-old group race performers of last season in alphabetical order): Cedar Manor, Magnetism, Mandela, Shinzig, Tusker.
* Consideration four (well performed group race performers in preferential order): Millennium, Pacific Dancer.
* Others (outside considerations one-four in preferential order): Bulginbaah, Baltaine, Hustler, Rat Tat, Pin Up Boy, Hurrah, Thee Auld Hussie, Plaything.
