KEY POINTS:
Two years ago you could have got very long odds on Mr Bojangles being at Thames tomorrow.
Because in the summer of 2006 the then four-year-old was sweeping the feature age group races at Cambridge, suggesting he was one of the best of his age and a certainty to end up in New Zealand and Auckland Cups. Instead, after two seasons of frustration, he will contest the $10,000 Parawai Cup on grass .
And trainer Maurice McKendry is starting to run out of excuses.
The nine-race winner had a soft palate operation last year and struggled with hoof problems on his return. But it has been a long time since we have seen the best of him.
"He has been a wee bit disappointing," said McKendry. "But he also came back in a tough grade. I am not sure he is back to his best so I am not all that confident."
Logical dangers High Flyin and Pocket Baileyship share the 20m mark. Those looking for value could do worse than co-backmarker Walk This Way.
He is trained on the track by Sally Fenning who provides the day's best bet, Cameron Jake, in race five.
