KEY POINTS:
Exceptional 3-year-old pacer Gotta Go Cullen has a new driver.
Todd Mitchell will partner the colt in the $50,000 Elsu Classic at Alexandra Park on Friday night.
Trainer Sue Martin says she hopes the partnership becomes a long-term one as she sets last season's glamour juvenile for a huge 3-year-old season.
Gotta Go Cullen dominated last season but since heading to Australia in August he has won just once in six starts, that victory coming in a weak Sires Stakes heat at Cambridge.
He lost an early speed duel with Ebony Gem in the Great Northern Stakes last week before fading in the home straight.
"He needed that run because the beach we train him on at home hasn't been that good lately," said Martin.
"I think he will be a sharper this week and I'd like to think Todd can lead on him and control the race."
The Elsu Classic sees the return of Sires' Stakes winner Changeover and Fergiemack, who chased him home at Addington.
