Holmes D G confirmed has been confirmed as winner of the $A300,000 Miracle Mile almost two weeks after the race.
A protest was lodged against Holmes D G, questioning the decision of the race night judges to award the race to him by a nose, after a photo finish.
The protest was lodged by second-placed Atitagain's owner, Reg Turner.
New South Wales Harness Racing Club general-manager Peter V'Landys said an inquiry in Sydney has confirmed there had been no error by the judges in awarding the race to Holmes D G.
"It was an unanimous decision by the four stewards," V'Landys told NZPA.
On the night of the race it took at least five minutes to declare the winner which is an unusually long time.
V'Landys, however, said the matter was complicated by the fact that Atitagain's nose was similar in colouring to the background of the track.
He said the delay was because the photo finish on a computer screen was manipulated, with the finish line being placed on the nose of Atitagain.
V'Landys said that process was repeated at the protest hearing and he said that "clearly showed Holmes D G's nose was over the line".
V'Landys said Turner would not be taking the matter any further.
