Former Waikato trainer Dean Melton was yesterday named as the replacement New Zealand training partner for Mike Moroney's transtasman stable.
Melton, 45, replaces Andrew Scott, who left the Moroney partnership on March 31 to join forces with former top jockey Lance O'Sullivan. Moroney said Melton would begin work at his Waikato stable in Matamata next month and the partnership would officially start at the beginning of the next racing season on August 1.
