KEY POINTS:
Exciting colt Guillotine has been billed as the headline act at Rosehill today but trainer David Payne says he does not feel any pressure ahead of the three-year-old's return.
A half-brother to Melbourne Cup winner Efficient, Guillotine has started just three times for a midweek win at Canterbury on debut last March, a fifth to Deferential in the Pago Pago Stakes and an unlucky fourth to Meurice in the Champagne Stakes.
Lofty spring carnival plans for the colt, including a Victoria Derby tilt, had to be abandoned due to the outbreak of equine influenza.
As a result, Guillotine still has everything to prove and will get the chance to do just that next autumn when his targets will include the three-year-old triple crown of the Randwick and Rosehill Guineas and AJC Australian Derby.
But his first test will be a more modest one in the form of today's Winning Edge Presentations Hcp.
"If he's good enough, he'll win," Payne said yesterday.
