Queensland apprentice Gavin McKeon is again returning to New Zealand - but this time plans to stay for at least three months.
McKeon returned to Australia after a successful New Zealand Cup carnival last month, at which he rode four winners, including his first group one success aboard the unbeaten Seachange in the One Thousand Guineas.
Between riding engagements in Australia and New Zealand, McKeon has competed in an international apprentice riders' series in Mauritius, gaining a second placing from three rides.
"I plan to be in New Zealand until next April," said McKeon, whose New Zealand winning tally stands at 18. "I want to ride at as many meetings as I can and I'll be starting off at Wanganui."
