Nikisha impressed on the grass, taking 1:22.4 for 1200m and 38.2 from the 600. Vee For Victory was not after time but looked extra well when striding 1200 in 1:28.2, the 600 in 42.2.
Hurdler Esprit Du Nord excelled over 1200m on the grass in 1:19.9, the 600 in 40.8. Over the same ground Java Siang took 1:25.5 (46.1) and Piper Star, 1:31.1 (47.4).
King Wyndham and Last Laugh, who race at Awapuni on Saturday, and Ellerslie candidate Tsarevna hit out together on a heavy No 1 grass at Pukekohe, taking 1:5 for 1000m and 39.6 from the 600.
Status Quo and Meteorite went 1000m together in 1:6, the 600 in 40.4. Mannix sprinted 800 in 52.
Maserati and Fizzi Blonde went 1000m soundly in 1:10, the 600 in 40.5. Alcibiades ended his work with 600 in 40.6.
Prized Gem and Low Interest showed dash on an easy No 2 grass at Cambridge, Prized Gem shading her stablemate after 1200m in 1:20.4, the 600 in 40.2.
Princess Daana cruised 800m in 55.4, the 600 in 43. Green Light and Aces And Eights ran 600 in 39.6.
Valiant Lea covered 1000m in 1:4.7, the 800 in 51 and 600 in 39.4. Over the same ground, Fun Luv'n Criminal and Harmonica recorded 51.3, the 600 in 40.2. Can't Commander and Deputy Girl sped 600 in 39.1.
Over 1200m, Cox's Bazaar and Gold Chase finished on terms in 1:20.4 (40.2), Little Sister took 1:25 (40.9) and Gold Pearl and Hollywood Brat, 1:22 (39.9).
Slavonic Princess gathered speed from the 1000 to run her final 600 in 40.

Lenny Lights furthered his preparation for Ellerslie on Saturday with a smart 800m on a soft sand at Avondale in 49.8, accompanied by Lady Tess, the last 600 into a headwind in 38.
