Kingsinga has been installed a $4 favourite for the $700,000 group one Auckland Cup on March 7 following the release of weights yesterday.
The Richard Collett and Shane Hapeta trained gelding bypassed last month's Wellington Cup and was allotted 54.5kg for the SkyCity Auckland feature by handicapper Dean
Nowell.
Envoy tops the weights with 58kg, followed by Kerry O'Reilly on 57.5kg, and the Australian, Pantani, with 57kg, while last year's cup winner Pentane and this year's Wellington Cup victor Willy Smith have 56.5kg.
The TAB can't see much between Kingsinga, Willy Smith ($4.50) and Pentane ($5), with a gap back to Envoy ($10), Everswindell ($11) and Kerry O'Reilly ($15). Magic Cape is a commanding favourite at $4 for the Mercedes Derby on March 3.
