KEY POINTS:
John Ralph's thoughts of winning his second Kelt Capital Stakes ended when Keep The Message broke down badly this week.
The classy 3-year-old tore a tendon when working at Te Rapa and will be away from racing for at least 12 months.
"He has to be boxed for two months and it'll be a year before he's back," said a disappointed owner and trainer John Ralph, who won the Kelt with Keep The Message's half brother The Message.
"The Message had a year out of racing and came back a better and stronger horse," said Ralph. "I think this bloke will be the same."
