Paul Belsham says his gun hurdler Our Front Line prefers soft footing, but the Wanganui trainer is not concerned the footing will be only easy at Te Rapa tomorrow.
Our Front Line was beaten over jumps on two excellent surfaces at Ellerslie on Boxing Day and January 1, but Belsham expects him to be more competitive in his first jumping start since.
"He had a run on the flat at Hastings a couple of weeks ago and it has brought him on.
"We schooled him the other day and I'm happy."

It might have been 10 months since Boulevardofdreams last raced, but there are expectations she will produce a big showing at Te Rapa tomorrow.
A seventh place in the American Oaks at Hollywood Park is the last time Boulevardofdreams raced and she is performing tomorrow to gain her passport to a Queensland winter campaign.
"She's spot on so we're expecting something from her," said co-trainer Vanessa Hillis.
The stable will be represented by Dezigna in the sprint in Brisbane tomorrow and a decision was to have been made last night whether Kainui Belle will be flown to Queensland this week or have one more run at Rotorua on Saturday week before departure.

Darci Brahma has not raced for two months, but trainer Mark Walker does not expect that to be reflected in his talented juvenile's performance at Te Rapa to-morrow.
The classy youngster finished second to Mi Jubilee in the Sires Produce at Ellerslie in early March and since has had a quiet barrier trial at Te Awamutu.
"I'm happy he's where he needs to be," said Walker of the Queensland-bound colt.
