-Brew, Kerrin McEvoy: "They all went forward early and there was no use going with them. I got in at the winning post the first time, I got cover and he relaxed very well. From the 1000 metres I got a nice cart in to the turn. I thought I was a big chance at the 400 metres. He went straight and was full of running to the line."
-Yippyio, Darren Beadman: "He travelled really well. In the straight I thought I had one chance to nail him (Brew) but he just couldn't get there."
-Second Coming, Michael Coleman: "He was trapped out three deep but had cover following Diatribe in to it. He came to the end of his run at the 150 metres when I saw Brew go past me."
-Kaapstad Way, Damien Oliver: "It was great effort. On the turn I thought he was going to win but his run ended at the 300 metres."
-Arctic Owl, David Harrison: "He would have finished closer if not for getting interfered with a couple of times. I got stopped a bit in the straight and had to switch course but I still thought I was a place chance at the 200 metres."
-Freemason, Larry Cassidy: "Coming to the turn he was picking up ground on the inside. I then went to get off the fence and was three lengths behind them but he was striding long and not quickening."
-Celestial Show, Lenny Beasley: "She sweated so badly it was like she'd run her race five times before it started. She ran on and we know she can run the distance."
-Pasta Express, John Marshall: "He was not quite up to them. I was just hoping that Kaapstad Way was going to take me further in to the race than he did."
-Skybeau, Dwayne Dunn: "He improved 100 lengths on his run last Saturday but he is showing his age."
-Hill Of Grace, Glen Boss: "I was having the best run until one horse dropped back on me and my horse nearly fell. She just plugged on after that."
-Diatribe, Jim Cassidy: "He relaxed with cover but was three deep and that makes it hard to run two miles. We just didn't get much luck."
-Citra's Prince, Craig Williams: "He worked in to the race nicely but just failed to hold the momentum to the line."
-The Hind, Stephen Baster: "It was a nice run but he couldn't go when they sprinted."
-Maguire, Luke Currie: "He was behind the leader until the half-mile (800m) when he was caught flat-footed."
-Enzeli, Greg Hall: "He just could not go early. At the 800 metres a big funnel opened in front of me but I didn't have any horse to go in there."
-Bohemiath, Darren Gauci: "I can't work it out. I was at him all the way and even pulled the whip on him 1700 metres out."
-Lightning Arrow, Frankie Dettori: "He had a perfect run in sixth place most of the way but at the 600 metres I knew he wasn't going to make it."
-Our Unicorn, Matthew Gatt: "I probably should have ridden him back and not be up so close as he was never on the bit."
-Mr Nelson, Jason Patton: "He was beaten at the 800 metres and struggled home."
-Coco Cobanna, Chris Munce: "She had a nice run but was beaten at the 600 metres."
-Far Cry, Kevin Darley: "It just didn't happen for him. He lost concentration missed the start. For the first 600 metres he had to chase them in to the race and at the seven furlongs (1400m) he was cooked."
-Maridpour, Greg Childs: "He travelled nicely in front but he'd run his race at the 1000 metres."
