Promising colt Henshaw has been described as the "forgotten horse" as he looks to finish an undefeated winter campaign at Caulfield.
The Peter Snowden-trained rising 3-year-old was beaten on debut when seventh to Golden Archer in the listed Street Ice Cream Stakes at Flemington in March but impressed with a narrow win on the synthetic track at Geelong two weeks ago.
TAB Sportsbet has quoted Henshaw at A$16 for today's Dean McNeill Handicap (1000m) but Snowden's son and stable foreman Paul Snowden said the colt was entitled to be much shorter.
"He is way over the odds for mine," Snowden said.
"He is the forgotten horse.
"Last campaign he ran into the benchmark horse at the time, Golden Archer, and didn't have a clue what he was doing at his first start down the straight at Flemington but I thought he ran a commendable race when he won at Geelong."
Hot Spin ($4), Unique Quality ($4.20), Kid Kobe ($5) and Arctic Command ($7.50) lead the market.
•Corey Brown had a few offers in today's Winter Challenge at Rosehill and believes he's made the right choice despite being on the least experienced runner in the field.
Brown reunites with 3-year-old Testarhythm in the A$100,000 feature over 1500m, having won at his only two starts on the Darren Smith-trained gelding.
Smith elected to start him on the limit of 53kg in the Challenge in preference to carrying 59kg against his own age in another race.
