"The only thing that worries me is if they get a bit keen early on and want to get up and trucking as they could undo both their chances that way but I do think there will be some speed in the race that will help them settle.
"Cassie Ann is an unlikely runner in race three after she ran at Waverley last week but Royal Haze could surprise in the fourth as she is very well at present and is ready to run a cheeky race."
While her team of six keeps Egan busy, she will still watch the big jumping races at Riccarton, a venue that brings back fond memories.
"I managed to win the 1994 Grand National Hurdles with Ragamuffin Rose, which was my first ride on the track, so it does hold special memories for me," said Egan.
"I actually tried to get my team ready for the meetings down there this year but due to one thing or another it just didn't come together, however, I will still keep an eye on the big jumping races as they are such fascinating and exciting events."
