Cambridge trainer Mark Forbes will be staying closer to home this weekend.
He has opted to run his talented sprinter Pinzalot at the Waikato meeting in preference to the Lightning Handicap at Trentham.
"He's drawn a much better gate at Te Rapa so that's where we'll be going with him," Forbes said.
Pinzalot will jump from barrier three and in his current form he is expected to be a hard horse to beat in the Cal Isuzu 1400.
The Pins 4-year-old has two wins and two placings in four appearances from Forbes' stable and last time out he was an impressive winner on the course over the highly regarded Terrafique.
