A new partnership will shortly head Ballymore Stables' racing operation at Matamata.
Chad Ormsby, who has been training with stable proprietor Mike Moroney, will step down from his role next month and will be succeeded by highly regarded horsewoman Pam Gerard.
An experienced and successful trainer for a number of years when based in Canterbury, Gerard has played a pivotal role as assistant trainer at Te Akau Racing for more than five years since shifting to the North Island.
This season she has been managing Te Akau's South Island team and staff.
She has been integral to the respective classic successes of Risque and Xtravagant in the New Zealand 1000 and 2000 Guineas at Riccarton.
