Majoubah did an easy 1900m in 2:27, the 600 in 41.6. Royal Orb sharpened up for Ellerslie with 600 in 39.
Folk Dance, who races at Ellerslie this weekend instead of in the Eulogy Stakes at Awapuni, was allowed an easy two rounds of a deepish plough at Avondale with Diamond Sands and finished slightly ahead after quickening from the 600m in 42.
Icey Red showed speed over 600m on a fast No 1 grass in 34.7.
