KEY POINTS:
Trotting speed freak Our Sunny Whiz's superb fresh-up record could get dented at Alexandra Park tonight.
That is the opinion of trainer Ken Sefonte as the West Auckland mare tries to put her season back on track off a 30m handicap in the $25,000 main trot.
Our Sunny Whiz produced a shocker at her last start in December after two mobile races back to back got her too fired up.
And while Sefonte is thrilled to be back to a standing start tonight he says his mare still faces a huge challenge.
"If the horses off the front trot 3:30 for the 2700m then we will be up against it catching them," he said.
"She might still be able to win but she isn't as forward as she usually is when she comes back to the races because this has only been a short preparation after a break."
The race looks an intriguing one, with the pace set by the frontline horses determining whether the best-performed trotters in the race - Our Sunny Whiz, Lleyton H and the enigmatic Genius - can get into the fight.
