Winx wowed Rosehill for the final time when she won her fourth Group 1 George Ryder Stakes in a style to which we are all so accustomed but which we will see just one more time.
In three weeks, Winx will have her finale in the A$4 million Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick and judging on the emotion which greeted the finish of her penultimate race, it will be a teary farewell.
Starting the $1.05 favourite, Winx's rapidly-widening margin on the line was three-and-a-half lengths over the three-year-old colt Brutal ($26), who stepped up to his Group 1 assignment with a brilliant burst of speed after turning for home before being consumed by the unstoppable mare.
Third was Dreamforce ($21) three lengths further away.
Winx's 32nd victory in a row was also her 24th Group 1 success and it came after jockey Hugh Bowman gave her a wide run over the 1500-metre course.
