KEY POINTS:
The seven races not run at Ellerslie yesterday will be run tomorrow.
Although the weather was fine and track rated good for the Auckland Racing Club's meeting yesterday, the surface was deemed unsafe by jockeys after it was watered overnight. The watering apparently caused problems in some areas.
Jockeys said it was unsafe and after the matter was considered by stewards and club officials the meeting was abandoned after the third race.
Among tomorrow's card will be the feature event, the $77,000 Sir James Fletcher Stakes (1600m) featuring returning star Xcellent, Sir Slick, Dezigna and last year's New Zealand Derby winner Wahid.
The TAB said last night all scratched runners had been reinstated and the new scratching time was 7.30am tomorrow.
