The David Hayes-trained Kibbutz is the A$4 early favourite with corporate bookmaker Betstar for Saturday's Victoria Derby.
He finished a closing second to Marching in last Saturday's AAMI Vase at Moonee Valley.
Weight of money has forced his price in, with Betstar spokesman Michael Horne saying he had been well supported over the past two days including one bet of $80,000 at $5.25.
"He is clearly the best-backed runner in the past couple of days for the Derby," Horne said.
"We originally installed Marching the favourite after the AAMI Vase, but the money suggests Kibbutz will be more suited by the Derby distance and David Hayes is confident."
The final field and barrier draw for the Derby will be determined tomorrow.
