The trainer-jockey combination of Karen Zimmerman and Darryl Bradley, fresh from winning the feature race at Trentham last Saturday, should repeat the dose in the $17,000 Lynn Electrical Open at today's Hawkes Bay meeting.
Bradley guided the Zimmerman-trained King Of Ashford to a commanding win in the $30,000 Porirua Club Cup, the horse's sixth success in a row.
Rough Crossing's last start sixth was over 1600m at Awapuni on April 25 when she got well back in the early stages before making ground strongly in the straight to finish less than 3 1/2 from the winner, Lordship.
The extra 400m of today's race should be more to her liking as, two starts back, she was a creditable sixth over that distance against a strong field at Awapuni.
