KEY POINTS:
Talented pacer Sequoiahs Spirit can end a frustrating run of minor placings by winning tonight's Terang Cup.
Sequoiahs Spirit has been placed in three cups in the last two months as well as being runner-up in the Legends Mile at Moonee Valley.
The Glenn Douglas-trained gelding was runner-up in the South Australian Cup behind Smoken Up last month.
It is a good formline as Smoken Up was just edged out in last Sunday's A$400,000 ($458,873) AG Hunter Cup by dual Interdominion winner Blacks A Fake.
While Sequoiahs Spirit has drawn wide in gate six, he is still the pre-post favourite at $3.50.
