KEY POINTS:
Former top jockey Leanne Isherwood has been convicted and discharged for an illegal trip to a dairy while on home detention.
Isherwood, who is serving the 12-month home detention sentence following a methamphetamine conviction, was returning home from an approved visit to a doctor on January 24 when seen going to the dairy by a probation officer.
In Palmerston North District Court yesterday, lawyer Peter Coles said Isherwood had merely wanted to buy some food - something she was finding difficult to do under her home detention conditions.
Judge Gregory Ross convicted and discharged her.
Isherwood is living at a Palmerston North property and has said she wants to return to racing once her sentence is over.
