KEY POINTS:
Miss Andretti lived up to her reputation as the world's best sprinting mare when she landed her fifth Group One victory after a tactical battle with her arch rival Gold Edition in The Age Classic at Flemington yesterday.
The Lee Freedman-trained 6-year-old has beaten 4-year-old mare Gold Edition all three times they have met.
Sent out the favourite, Miss Andretti joined Gold Edition approaching the 200m and went on to score by three-quarters of a length. Outsider Stanzout was five lengths away third.
"This is my new Makybe Diva," Freedman said. "She [Gold Edition] gives us hard races. It was like a heavyweight championship."
The mare goes into quarantine tomorrow before next month's Hong Kong international meeting.
