KEY POINTS:
Changeover is the proverbial certainty for the heat of the Southern Supremacy Stakes at Invercargill tomorrow.
The star 3-year-old has proved in a class of his own by winning the New Zealand and Great Northern Derbies and Sires' Stakes final this season. He has nine wins in 11 starts.
He will start from outside the front line under the preferential barrier draw conditions of the race, but his task has been made easier with the scratching of Mr Molly and Bad All Over. He will need to win or finish second to ensure a start in the $50,000 Southern Supremacy Final at Invercargill on April 27.
Slick Sylvestor, a rival for Changeover, has been bought by Invercargill lawyer Lester Smith and transferred to Winton trainer Lauren Pearson. Slick Sylvestor is a danger with two wins in as many starts.
Dontdrinkthendrive looks equal to overcoming a second line draw in the heat of the Southland Oaks. She won a heat of the Nevele R series on April 5 in the hands of Mark Jones, who again has the drive.
