KEY POINTS:
Champion pacer Changeover is staying put.
The ATC Trot syndicate which own the superstar 3-year-old have voted unanimously to turn down an offer valuing him at $3 million.
The offer was from Christchurch studmaster and trainer Michael House and was $2 million for a two-thirds share in Changeover.
That would have started at the end of his 4-year-old season.
It is the third huge offer made for Changeover since March, each one valuing the colt $1 million higher.
ATC Trot syndicate manager Rob Carr said all 47 members who voted said they wanted to retain the shares in Changeover.
The winner of 12 of his 14 starts this season, Changeover races next in a non-tote Australasian Breeders Crown heat at Cambridge in three weeks before making his Australian debut next month.
Shortly after that he will face one of his biggest tests of the year when he goes head to head with Flashing Red for the Horse of the Year title.
That will be announced at the national harness racing awards dinner in Christchurch on August 25.
