KEY POINTS:
Todd Mitchell was back in the winner's circle again as a trainer but this time in a different sporting code - thoroughbred racing - with consistent mare Electronic Socks at Avondale yesterday.
Mitchell formed a syndicate to race Electronic Socks placing her with Cambridge trainer Paul Duncan.
After one start for Duncan and a short spell Electronic Socks joined Mitchell's harness stable and the leading trainer-driver has made no secret about the enjoyment he has had training a thoroughbred.
Electronic Socks was patiently handled by 4kg apprentice Ethan Dalley sitting back in the field before hooking to the outside of the track on the hometurn and unleashing a powerful sprint.
The 4-year-old scored by 2 lengths over Kingston Star with a neck back to Monjarni (third).
