Trainer Henry Cecil has reiterated his doubts about Frankel's stamina as the champion juvenile ticks away during the northern winter.
He has no concerns about the unbeaten Galileo colt training on, but believes he will need to grow up mentally to give himself every chance of staying further than a mile.
"I don't think he's just a 2-year-old - he's quite immature and he's got plenty of size and scope," Cecil said. "He's definitely got Guineas potential. I hope he can grow up a bit mentally, too. He's by Galileo, but he's out of a fast family. I think he'll have to grow up a lot to get more than a mile, but he might get a mile and a quarter when he is older," he told At The Races.
Frankel is odds-on for the 2000 Guineas, and as low as 3-1 for the Derby.
