Black Caviar extended her unbeaten sequence to 12 after a successful interstate debut in the TJ Smith Stakes at Randwick.
Having her first start outside Melbourne, Black Caviar unleashed an explosive turn of foot to mow down the runner-up Hay List.
She gave Hay List four lengths start at one stage in the straight but once jockey Luke Nolen was able to properly balance his mount, the result was never in doubt.
"She's got such a great attitude," Nolen said as Black Caviar returned to scale in front of a huge Randwick crowd yesterday.
"Combine that with her ability and it's great she's bringing crowds back to racing.
"And she's not letting them down."
Black Caviar banked A$600,000 for her win - her fifth Group One - to take her earnings past A$3.2 million.
Trainer Peter Moody said he planned to race her in Queensland next.
Meanwhile, Gai Waterhouse may have the last laugh over owner John Singleton following Once Were Wild's dazzling return to form in the Chairman's Handicap at Randwick.
Singleton has put Once Were Wild in the catalogue for the National Broodmare Sale in June, a decision Waterhouse says he might regret.
The four-year-old had not won a race since she took out the AJC Australian Oaks almost a year ago but boosted her Sydney Cup credentials when she led all the way to win the Group Two race over 2600m.
