Opie Bosson will not be riding again until Stoney Bridge Stakes day in three weeks after being charged following his ride on second-placed Mohican Brave at Hastings on Saturday.
Mohican Brave lugged in on horses inside him at the 300m after sitting three wide behind the pace throughout the race.
The horse was relegated to fourth and Bosson sidelined for three weeks.
Alingtonboulevard had to produce a wonderful late finish to get past Mohican Brave after missing the start by a couple of lengths.
The Matamata mare received a good drag up into the race when Michael Walker rode her for luck rather than track around the field, but she still had to pick up quickly when the gap opened late in the race.
Mark Walker is looking at the group one Captain Cook Stakes with the classy mare.
When the main dangers Twinkling and Sculptor were withdrawn, Shamrock Star looked a great prospect and he showed plenty of grit to hold on in a tight three-way photo after leading.
The only surprise has been the flood of money for him the TAB has fielded for the $1 million Kelt Capital Stakes.
Yesterday, $14 was the best the TAB could offer on the Kelt, which is ridiculously short.
Shamrock Star is an extremely promising staying type, but the gap between an R92 event and the group one Kelt Capital is wider than Cook Strait.
Some of the fine performances on Saturday:
* Stone Garden - beaten favourite when only fifth in the opening 2000m, but on a day when you couldn't make ground from the back he got home strongly after being wide from the 700m to record very fast sectionals.
* Mohican Brave - may take time to recover from a gruelling first-up run, but will measure up to very good class.
* Intermittent, only ninth, but twice blocked for a run along the inside in the home straight. Will quickly make up for that.
* Lilakyn - did well to finish third, promoted to second, in a way too short 1400m. Wait until she gets to 2000m and beyond.
* Miles - may not strike another wet track this preparation, but watch out if he does.
* Giovanni - a sore mouth made him lug away from the inside rail, but he still had too much on his opposition. That won't be his last win.
