International jockey Glen Boss is hoping for one thing at Doomben today - Hay List's performance to match the hype.
Once again, the BTC Cup (1200m) is being billed as a clash between the world's best sprinter Black Caviar and Boss' mount Hay List, who is considered the horse most capable of testing the unbeaten superstar.
The pair have met three times with Hay List no match for the Peter Moody-trained sprinting machine.
"I just hope that he turns up and really has a redhot go and she does the same which you know she is going to," said Boss.
"They'll get a bumper crowd and I hope they get the contest that fits the build-up, because often these things are built up and built up and then you get there and it's a fizzer."
Black Caviar is out to extend her unbeaten run to 13 with the BTC Cup her chance at a sixth consecutive group one success.
