Glen Boss said he felt "100 per cent" after he partnered Josimar into third place to Costa In The Glen in his comeback ride in the Sportingbet Handicap at Sandown.
Boss had just the one ride at yesterday's meeting after Meaisin was scratched from the Le Pine Funerals Hcp (1800m) won by Ruse De Guerre.
Boss, 42, was having his first ride for four months after shattering his left shoulder and suffering torn ligaments and tendons when 2010 Golden Slipper winner Crystal Lily collapsed and died in a Flemington jumpout on September 23. The triple Melbourne Cup-winning jockey has a metal plate and 10 screws inserted in his shoulder.
Boss has taken four rides at Flemington on Saturday and intends just riding on Wednesdays and Saturdays for two weeks.
