KEY POINTS:
The wet weather could force star galloper Racing To Win out of the Warwick Stakes at Randwick tomorrow but one horse who definitely won't be scratched is Rena's Lady.
The Gary Portelli-trained mare enjoyed her finest racing moment when she took out the group-one AJC Australian Oaks (2400m) on a slow Randwick track on April 11.
That win came after she claimed the group-three Adrian Knox Stakes (2000m) on a heavy track at Randwick four days earlier and overall she has missed a place just once in six starts on rain-affected ground.
"She's spot-on, very good," Portelli said. "She's probably not a 1400-metre horse but if it's really heavy we know she'll plug through it."
Racing To Win is scheduled to make his long-awaited return in the group-two feature, but trainer John O'Shea also has the option of starting his star a week later in the Concorde Stakes at Rosehill.
* Melbourne's top jockey, Craig Williams, is looking forward to riding David Hayes' stable star, Miss Finland, who makes her first appearance for the season at Cheltenham in Adelaide tomorrow.
Williams has foregone some good mounts at Moonee Valley to ride the five-time group-one winner in the Penny Edition Stakes (1400m).
The race is considered by Hayes to be a "soft" first-up run before he starts to get serious and tries to add to her group-one tally.
Her ultimate goal is the Cox Plate in October for which she is the $6 equal second pick with Haradasun behind the $5.50 favourite Marasco.
