KEY POINTS:
SYDNEY - Trainer Chris Waller will be relying heavily on a double dose of the Beadman factor at Rosehill on Saturday.
The former New Zealander, who has established himself among the top 10 trainers in Sydney this season, is hoping to start at least five runners and has so far booked record-breaking jockey Darren Beadman for one and the champion rider's apprentice son Mitchell for another two.
Darren will partner Danz In Paris for Waller in the Class Three Handicap (1200m) while Mitchell rides Auckland Blues in the Welter (2000m) and Mystery Queen in a 1400m class five.
Waller believes the teenage Beadman has a bright future and sees a place for him in Sydney now that apprentices Tim Clark and Tye Angland have outridden their claims and Josh Parr has just 1.5kg left of his.
"I rate Mitchell highly, he's doing everything right," Waller said.
"Tye has outridden his claim and Josh has just about lost his and while there are other good apprentices around Mitch is a 3kg claimer."
The 17-year-old only made his Saturday metropolitan debut four days ago but none of his mounts figured in the placings.
He has partnered Auckland Blues at two of his past three starts, including to a third at Newcastle last month, and Waller is happy to reward him with the city ride.
Mitchell will be out to emulate his father who is the only jockey to have won on Auckland Blues since he came over from New Zealand, scoring aboard the gelding on Randwick's Kensington track a year ago and at Warwick Farm in December.
"Auckland Blues is an old battler but he will get in with 51kg after Mitch's claim and he has ridden him twice this preparation so it seemed logical to put him on," Waller said.
Promising youngster Triple Honour, who is being aimed at the Gloaming Stakes during the spring, will also represent the Rosehill trainer at his home track along with last-start winner Light Red.
