KEY POINTS:
Apprentice Chloe Chatfield has been suspended for 10 weeks for causing interference in Tuesday's Perth Cup in which six horses fell and three jockeys had to be taken to hospital.
Stewards found Chatfield guilty of careless riding, deeming she had crossed the field on Rossam when insufficiently clear at the 2800m of the 3200m feature, causing Upgrade to check and Rosskaen to strike his heels and fall, starting a concertina effect back through the rest of the field.
The chain reaction resulted in Laetare, ridden by Damian Miller, followed by Jereme's Pride (Brad Parnham) and The Black Pig (Paul King) crashing, and Daka's Gem and Stirrup Iron Jack dislodging Pat Carbery and Shaun McGruddy respectively.
Rosskaen's jockey Alan Kennedy and Parnham spent the night in Royal Perth Hospital while Miller was treated at Perth's Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital.
Vets put down Rosskaen and Laetare who were injured
