Female jockeys have come to the fore at the Ashburton Races this afternoon.
In a rare accomplishment, female jockeys have galloped to victory in all seven of the races on the card in Ashburton.
Samantha Collett and Samantha Wynne both claimed two wins, while Alysha Collett and apprentices Tina Comignaghi and Hayley Bennet all picked up a win apiece.
Race six was the most dominant of the day for the female jockeys, with Samantha Collett claiming victory on Non Blonde, Wynne coming in second on Funny Face and Courtney Barnes guiding Damanaka to third, making it a clean sweep on the podium.
