Kelly Myers does not lack for advice in her career as a jockey.
She started riding less than four months ago but posted her 11th win when taking out the Danzapride Handicap on Crafty Decision at Riccarton.
The 22-year-old is apprenticed to the Graeme Rogerson and Stephen Autridge partnership at the Awapuni stables run by Roydon Bergerson.
Kelly is a niece of Wanganui trainer Kevin Myers, part of a family that has long been involved in racing. So she is never short on advice.
"I get heaps, being from a big racing family," Kelly Myers said. "There's my father Patrick, Kevin, Roydon ... "
Myers has a Bachelor of Science degree from Massey University but racing is her life for the meantime.
