Overseas entries have quadrupled for the $2 million group one Kelt Capital Stakes at Hastings on October 6.
Only 10 overseas entries were received last year and 14 in 2005 compared with 41 this year.
The biggest number of entries from one New Zealand stable is six by Michael and Paul Moroney, including 2005 winner Xcellent.
Mark Walker also has six, including Oaks winner Princess Coup and the impressive ghostly grey Hamlet's Ghost.
Roger James has five entries, including Caulfield Cup winner Railings, while the Graeme Rogerson-Stephen Autridge stable has a total of seven.
Rogerson has four from his Australian base, with promising juvenile in Cent Per Cent among them.
The biggest entry by any trainer is 12, by Australian David Hayes.
Dunstan Stayers Championship winner The Fuzz and Golden Slipper, VRC Oaks and Cadbury Australian Guineas winner Miss Finland are among his entries.
Another leading Australian trainer, Lee Freedman, has entered seven horses, including three ex-Kiwi runners in King Of Ashford, Post Thyme and Sphenophyta.
Laurie Laxon has also entered a former Kiwi, Crusoe, from his base in Singapore.
