Now even Johnny Manziel's enabling friends are worried he's out of control.

As pals of the troubled 23-year-old told TMZ Sports, they fear that the Heisman Trophy winner could wind up dead if he doesn't seek help for his ongoing substance abuse issues.

"If he continues this way for much longer, he will die," one source said.

"He's in a horrible downward spiral," another insider told the website of Manziel.

Some of his friends tried confronting him about his drug issues, which, according to the site, now include brazenly blowing lines of cocaine in front of people he barely knows.

"He flipped out and would not hear," a source claims.

Manziel, who appeared frighteningly frail in recent photos posted by TMZ last week, kept the party going over the weekend in Las Vegas, where he was spotted at Jewel nightclub inside the swanky Aria Hotel. But instead of flying under the radar, the former first-round draft pick was tossed from the hot spot following an altercation with another patron.

After the Cleveland Browns ultimately cut Manziel in March, super agent Drew Rosenhaus took him on as a client with the hopes of turning his once-promising career around. But after Manziel failed to adhere to Rosenhaus' ultimatum to seek treatment, opting to party at Coachella instead, he was dropped as a client. One month later, he was indicted for domestic violence.

Manziel's friends seem to be finally catching up to the frightening reality that his father, Paul, depicted in February after two failed attempts to get his son into rehab.

"I truly believe if they can't get him help, he won't live to see his 24th birthday," the elder Manziel said to the Dallas Morning News in February. Manziel turns 24 in December.
