Police are investigating after a suspicious item was reportedly found on a nature strip outside the Sydney home of Australian cricketer Brad Haddin.
Officers were called to a home on Champion Road, Tennyson Point, at 3.15pm on Friday after the suspicious item was found in a nature strip outside the property.
The ABC reports the device is understood to have been two butane canisters with a wick attached, and there had been an attempt to light it.
Haddin withdrew from the Second Test at Lord's for family reasons and was replaced by debutant Peter Nevill.
