If yesterday's 41-metre missile didn't impress you, then maybe this ridiculous 50-metre volley scored during a Mexican Primera League match last weekend is more your speed.
Cruz Azul defender Rogelio Chavez received the ball back from a throw in near halfway and decided to give it an almighty thump down field in the general direction of the goal.
As both sets of players turned away in frustration, the ball kept traveling higher and higher, before eventually nestling in the net of the Queretaro goal after striking the post.
The Queretaro goalkeeper has a lot to answer for but that should take nothing away from the dream-like nature of the strike. It's almost so good it looks fake, but these different angles prove it did really happen.
Cruz Azul went on to win the game 3-1, but Chavez was the real winner.
